Warrior is a 3-year-old registered Quarter Horse and one of the Horseman’s Mission Makeover colts. He is well-traveled, having hauled multiple times on 5+ hour trips with ease. He has extensive trail experience, including weekend rides of 10+ miles per day and a full week-long camping trip where he tied comfortably on a tie line.

Warrior has been exposed to a wide variety of environments—he’s participated in trail rides with over 100 riders, ridden through town, crossed creeks and logs, and navigated many types of terrain. He has also been used as a lesson horse for amateur riders, quickly becoming a family favorite thanks to his quiet and sweet nature.

This young gelding is reliable whether out on solo rides, in large groups, ponying young horses, working in the arena, moonlight rides, or enjoying a relaxed bareback ride. With his willing-to-please attitude, Warrior is eager to learn and easy to teach. He is especially attentive and gentle when carrying children, and he has been started in liberty work, including laying down on command.

Warrior stands tied, ground ties, and has excellent stable manners. He gets along well with other horses in the pasture, stands patiently for the farrier, is up to date on all health care, and receives routine chiropractic maintenance.

Warrior is the complete package—safe, versatile, and personable—a horse ready to continue excelling in whichever direction you take him.

Hip#s 15-19 are this year's Makeover Challenge Colts. The Makeover Colt Challenge has been designed as an opportunity for young, up-and-coming trainers to showcase their abilities. The trainers are challenged by starting an untrained 3 year old AQHA gelding in only 5 short months. On May 3rd, the selected 5 trainers purchased these colts from Norman Yoder's farm in Zearing, IA as halter-broke only. 

All Makeover Challenge Colts will compete in a Ranch/Trail Class (judged on horsemanship and horses confidence) on Friday after the Sale Horse Preview. 🏆 1st place in the Ranch/Trail class wins $2,500.00, 2nd place wins $1,250.00 and 3rd place wins $750.00 🏆.
