Joe is a super neat gelding by an NCHA money earner. He’s the kind of horse you won’t soon forget. His unique red dun roan coloring catches your eye, but it’s his puppy-dog personality that will really win you over. This gentle, good-minded gelding has all the makings of a kid’s horse when he grows up. He absolutely loves people and is always happy to greet you in the pasture or meet you at the barn.
At Roux Reining Horses, we believe in allowing our 2-year-olds time to grow up in the pasture and simply be “normal” horses. Joe is a great example of what that thoughtful approach can produce. He was started under saddle in May of this year and has been ridden consistently ever since.
Like all of our 2-year-olds, Joe enjoyed plenty of time on the trails before coming into the arena. He has been exposed to creeks, the pond, cattle, and pasture riding, giving him a well-rounded start and helping build his confidence in a variety of environments.
Our teenage working student has really enjoyed spending time with Joe and developing him into the soft-riding, willing horse he is today. He has good ground manners, is easy to handle, and enjoys splitting his time between his stall and the pasture, where he happily lives as part of the herd.
Joe is up to date on vaccines, farrier work, and dentistry and sells guaranteed sound.
