Uhrig Ranch Performance Horses
Howdy to the Horseman’s Mission Select Sale staff, consignors, horsemen and women, buyers, and fans!
My name is Caleb Uhrig. I’m 34 years old, happily married to my wife, Kristin, and together we have two beautiful daughters, Parker (9) and Nora (7).
I’ve wanted to be a cowboy for as long as I can remember. Even though I didn’t grow up in a horse family, my parents say my obsession with horses started when I was just three years old—and it never faded. They encouraged that passion by subscribing to Western Horseman, The Quarter Horse Journal, and every horse magazine they could find. By the time I was five, I’d convinced them it wasn’t just a childhood phase, and we leased my first horse. At seven years old, we bought my first horse, and I’ve been fortunate enough to spend nearly every day in the saddle ever since.
Today, I strive to become a better horseman both in and out of the training pen. My goal is to develop confident, reliable, and responsive horses that are as user-friendly as they are talented. While I enjoy all aspects of training, my greatest passion lies in the ranch horse disciplines, where versatility, willingness, and practicality are rewarded.
I intentionally keep my training program small and straightforward so every horse receives the time and attention it deserves. I offer colt starting, tune-ups, show and sale preparation, lessons for riders from beginner to advanced, and coaching throughout the show pen.
More than anything, I hope every horse, every customer, and every interaction reflects honesty, respect, and transparency. I feel incredibly blessed to pursue the passion and talent God has given me, and my prayer is that my work brings honor not only to the horses and people I serve, but ultimately to Him. To God be the glory.
