Pale Apollo, affectionately known as Apollo, is the total package — a beautifully built 6-year-old palomino gelding with a kind eye, a long flowing mane, and the talent to match his looks. Bred right and trained right, Apollo is an own son of the great Pale Face Dunnit, out of a Tejon To A Tee mare, and it shows in every ride. He’s the kind of horse you don’t come across often — fancy broke, incredibly versatile, and safe for the whole family.

Apollo has a solid background in reining and has been shown in both open and ranch classes. He knows all the reining maneuvers — he’s got a deep, stylish stop, smooth and correct spins, and effortless lead changes that require little more than a whisper. His movement is balanced, collected, and correct, with that classic Quarter Horse softness and cadence that makes him a joy to ride. Whether you're in the pen or at home, he’s the same steady partner every time you swing a leg over.

He’s confident and correct over all kinds of obstacles — bridges, logs, water crossings, tarps, opening and closing gates, dragging objects, backing through patterns — and he handles each task with patience and ease. Apollo has experience around cattle, has been team roped off of, and knows how to get a job done while staying calm and collected. He’s the type you can sort off of one day and take to a show the next.

Out on the trail, Apollo is as solid and reliable as they come. He’s been ridden alone and in groups, over all kinds of terrain, through creeks, ditches, downed timber, and even around dogs, vehicles, and wildlife. He keeps his head level, and will go anywhere you point him with confidence.
  Apollo has been ridden by all levels of riders and adjusts to his rider’s ability. He’s quiet, forgiving, and aims to please — making him a perfect step-up horse for a youth rider ready to learn more, or a dependable partner for an adult who wants something broke and easy.
